Who killed Facundo Cabral?

Who killed Facundo Cabral?Facundo Cabral

José Antonio Gutiérrez, 11/07/2011

It seems incredible. Facundo Cabral was killed. The writer of free prose and prose that liberated. The singer-songwriter who survived a troubled childhood, jail and the never ending days of dictatorship. A survivor. He was killed just like that, in cold blood, 16 shots.

WHO WE ARE

LASC is a membership based organisation. Membership is made up of individuals who share a passion for real social change in Latin America and Ireland and who believe that peace with justice and equality for all can come only through genuine participation of everyone in society's decision making. Thus, we encourage the opening of the traditional exclusive political systems of Latin America to new forms of participatory and direct democracy, and we oppose the long tradition of foreign intervention in Latin American affairs.

History

The story so far...

In 1995 the Irish Nicaragua Support Group commissioned research, with funding from the NCDE, on the feasibility of setting up a Latin America Centre in Ireland. The positive conclusions were reported to the INSG AGM of November that year.
